Table set

1. I am much more confident now then on the first day. I also now how to center much better now.
2. To do well on the wheel you have to be able to center and be confident on the wheel.
3. One of the struggles I had was centering a lot of clay on the wheel. I fixed that by learning a easier way to center.
4. The easiest part of the class was getting everything done on time. The hardest part was remembering to put it on my blog.
5. Yes I think I could sell my stuff because it's more refined now then at the beginning of the semester.

Inspirational Blog

I have been looking through different blogs to find one that was inspiring to me and made me think of more creative things to do with pottery. My favorite one I found was by Emily Murphy. It has tons of posts and a lot of interesting creative ways to glaze also. The blog is http://potteryblog.com/.

Pottery Wheel

The pottery wheel has been a challenge for me ever since I tried it my sophomore year. I am supposed to make miniature cups and bowls on the pottery wheel. It started off a lot better then it did years ago when I first tried it. I was able to center the clay easily but choosing how much clay I needed was the biggest problem for me. The clay pieces are supposed to be miniature but I started off with to much clay every time. I would make nice looking cups but they would be a lot bigger then they were supposed to be. They would have all the shapes that I sketched but they were more then double the size I was supposed to make them. Overall it went a lot better then it has in the class I just have problems with making my clay pieces the right size.
